Cherokee Speedway Postponed Until Further
Notice
All racing scheduled for March 20th and March
21st at Cherokee Speedway has been postponed.
Events at the Speedway have been postponed
until further notice due to COVID-19. We
appreciate everyone and everyone's love for
the sport. The Cherokee staff is truly
thankful to be blessed with such dedicated and
passionate fans. It's encouraging to see that
in the posts and comments on social media.
Everyone's safety and well being is our first
and foremost importance. We intend to open the
gates and race when we are allowed but only
when our state leaders feel it is safe and
permissible. No one truly understands this
virus and the not knowing is what drives fear
in all of us. We trust our elected officials
and we feel they know what is better for
people as a whole. The Gaffney law enforcement
will keep us aware of the local situation and
let us know when we can resume operating
Cherokee Speedway. Hopefully this will be a
short period of time and we can all get back
to "The Place Your Mama Warned You About"!
